Welcome to our website for the upcoming 2nd annual Tails and Trails Fundraiser Dinner Auction. Please check back regularly as we will update with more event information and ticket sales. The 2026 Kitsap Search and Rescue Fundraiser: Tails and Trails Auction and Dinner, will benefit all three nonprofits that provide a variety of search and rescue services to residents of Kitsap County and beyond.
These 100% volunteer-operated and donation-funded organizations have combined forces for this event (outside of working together on missions) to educate the public about our presence in the community, as well as raise funds to support our all-volunteer work. Funds will be split evenly between the three groups, and will be used in a variety of ways, including for Olympic Mountain Rescue’s need for a new truck.
More about each of the teams:
Kitsap County Search Dogs is a 100% volunteer and 100% donation-funded K9 Search and Rescue organization dedicated to providing specialized canines and trained personnel to local law enforcement, assisting with locating lost, injured or missing persons and victims of natural or man-made disasters. Based in Kitsap County, the unit responds to search requests throughout the state of Washington.

Though most of OMR’s work takes place on the Olympic Peninsula, the team often operates in conjunction with other Washington state rescue units along the Cascades, from Mt. St. Helens to Mt. Baker, as well as with its local colleagues.
